| Croatia Cruising in 2008 - 777 Harbours and Croatia Cruising Companion |

Croatia is now established as one of the most popular cruising areas in the Mediterranean and there are now a number of excellent cruising guides and charts for the area. The very popular '777 Harbours and Anchorages' has a brand new edition just released in April 2008. It gives details of all the popular and hidden spots in Croatia, Slovenia and Montenegro. The Croatia Cruisning Companion is also new in 2008. As a new addition to the 'Cruising Companion' series, it covers the Dalmation coast of Croatia. The 'Adriatic Pilot' is currently being re-printed, but is scheduled for publication in early June. For charts there is also a good choice. The charts from the Croatia Hydrographic Office are available in two folio Malekarte 1 and 2. Admiralty have a folio for the Dalmatia coast and Imray are launching a folio in 2008. It is also possible to purchase individual charts. In our 'Charts' section, there are full details of the coverage in each of the folios.

Imray 2000 Series
This series has been expanded to provide unbroken coverage from Lowestoft to Milford Haven in the west. Some of the folios have extra new charts added to increase the coverage (2000,2100, 2200, 2400 and 2500 all have new charts). There is a brand new folio of 9 charts covering the Devon and Dorset coasts (2300). In the spring, another new folio will be available - 2600 with 11 charts covering the Bristol Channel.Croatia and Adriatic Charts
Five new Imray M charts will cover the Croatia and Adriatic coasts and should be available from April 2008. (M23 Adriatic, M24 Golfo di Trieste to Losinj and Rab, M25 Rab to Sibenik and M27 Dubrovnik to Bar and Ulcinj).

Both Imray and RYA/Admiralty offer easy to use introduction digital charts covering the UK and parts of France. They are both available on CD's for use on a laptop and have integrated software, so it is very easy to set up. The second generation of Imray Digital Charts is now available and is new in January 2008. Coverage has been extended so that just 4 CD's provide comprehensive charting from the north of Scotland to Gibraltar. ID10 - North Sea, ID20 - English Channel, IS30 - West Britain and Ireland, ID40 - Atlantic France and Iberia. The Admiralty / RYA Chart Plotter 2008 edition is also now available and now covers the entire UK and Ireland in just 5 CDroms. There are between 70 and 80 Admiralty charts on each CDrom.

If you wish to view chart coverage maps before making your selection, these can now be seen via our link 'Nautical Chart Selector' which is on the left hand side of the pages within the 'Chart' section. The maps are arranged by the various producers, Imray, Stanfords, Admiralty etc. and also by the various 'series'. There is also an overview on digital charts, together with coverage maps for the digital charts.
