Garmins BlueCharts compliment their handheld mapping products and marine chartplotters.  It is designed to provide interactive viewing of detailed nautical chart data.  They look just like paper charts when displayed on a Garmin chartplotter.  Descriptive details can be viewed with a key press.  Cursor movements provide descriptions for contour depths, chart number, navaid name.  Shaded depth contours, inter-tidal zones, spot soundings, wrecks, port plans, anchorages etc.
